TERROR ON TUESDAY
{September 11, 2001}

Beyond New York and Pentagon blue skies,
horrific terror mingles with death cries.
Suicide planes explode as bombs of doom,
leaving steel rubble- human ashes entomb.

Dust we were... to dust we all must return~
not in a tunnel of flames where bodies burn.
Hearts of evil strike in catastrophic power,
as innocent Americans know not the hour.

Thousands of victims- our land of the free,
are demolished by tons of terrorist debris.
War attacks midst vestige upon our soil,
bravest of men search on in rain and toil.

America saw today in rockets’ red glare,
Symbols of power- bombs bursting in air.
Our nation, the world... In God We Trust,
Defend life, liberty and freedom- we must.

Unity in purpose pulls our burden as one,
as the beginning of our victory has begun.
Oh pray... cowards of terrorism be aware,
Our flag waves proof America’s still there!
